Chrome Extension
Extend Locky to your computer by blocking distracting websites in Chrome until your habits are complete.
How it works
The Locky Chrome extension syncs with your Locky account. When you have incomplete habits, any website you've added to your block list redirects to a "Site Blocked" page reminding you to finish your habits first.
Once you complete all due habits in the Locky mobile app, the extension detects the change in real time and unblocks your sites automatically.
Installing the extension
- Open the Chrome Web Store and search for "Locky", or use the link in the Locky mobile app under Settings.
- Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm.
- Click the Locky icon in your toolbar and sign in with the same Google account you use in the mobile app.
Adding blocked sites
Click the Locky extension icon to open the popup. Type a domain (e.g. youtube.com, reddit.com) and add it to your block list. You can remove sites anytime from the same popup.
Blocked sites are separate from blocked apps. The Chrome extension manages websites; the iOS app manages apps. They work together but are configured independently.
The blocked page
When you visit a blocked site, you'll see an interstitial page showing your current habit status — which habits are done and which are still pending. This updates live, so once you finish your habits on your phone, you can refresh and browse freely.
Badge indicator
The extension icon shows a ! badge when you have incomplete habits. When all habits are done, the badge disappears.
